Van der Horst Energy Limited (VDHE) owns a large scale Fermentation Factory, m/s Chaoyang China Starzyme Company Limited (CCS). This Factory produces Enzymes for usage in a wide spectrum of Industries.

The blending and sales of the Enzymes and the micro-organism product are carried out by m/s Shenyang China Starzyme Company Limited (SCS).

M/s Shenyang Sunrise Bio-technology Co., Ltd (Sunrise) manufactures a range of Animal Drugs and is a small scale Enzyme manufacturer.

All these three companies are located in the Province of Liaoning in China.

VDHE owns a stake of 51% in SCS. SCS owns 100% of CCS and Sunrise.

Enzymes are proteins expelled naturally from Microorganisms (Bacteria or Fungi) through an environmentally controlled high-tech Fermentation process. Enzymes are proteins that act as bio-catalyst which can speed up the overall rate of bio-chemical reaction by breaking down the substrates into product, but the Enzymes itself remain unchanged. Enzymes are currently used in many Industries, some of which are: Animal Feeds, Food, Flour, Bakery, Detergent, Textile, Paper & Pulps, Juices, Beer Brewing, Spirits, etc.

Improving Food Safety and Protecting Environment

In the ever increasing emphasis of “Food Safety” and “Environment Protection” the used of Chemicals have been replaced extensively by Enzymes. Many of the current Industrial and Domestic Processes in producing many of our daily essentials have used Enzymes in their Bio-chemical reactions.

Algae is a form of cyanobacteria, which can produce neurotoxins (affecting the nervous system) and hepatotoxins (affecting the liver). Enzymes have been used in place of Phosphorous in Laundry Detergent.

Chaoyang China Starzyme Company Limited (CSC) has an aggregated Fermentation Tank capacity of about 530m 3, which is one of the largest Enzyme manufacturers among the Chinese Companies in China. The factory is also equipped with R & D facilities, Laboratory-Test Equipment, Compressed-purified air system, Steam Supply, Cooling-water reservoir and Enzymes End processing Equipment.
